  • I am fully enjoying the holiday, which is why I may be less present here. But I couldn't resist photographing beautiful scampi that we ate at the campsite.   • I’m sitting here with my laptop in front of the tent and it’s hard to choose 3 winners for #onlyoneicecream! I saw delicious recipes of ice cream, galette with ice cream, scoop ice cream, water ice cream… So are you ready? Swipe to the right to see the winning pictures.   Winner 1: @asoulfulkitchen What a beautiful deep wine red color these pomegranate raspberry popsicles have!  Do you see the different layers that Doaa has applied? First the beautiful dark backdrop that gives a good contrast with the pink/red.  Then on the tray with the ice creams, a layer of water, ice cubes, loose pomegranate seeds and raspberries. Also the frozen layer on the ice cream is an extra layer.  Congratulations Doaa you can choose a vinyl backdrop of your choice from my shop @myluciebackdrops. Winner 2: @maylis.foodstories What a beautiful photo Maylis this is. A good composition in the bowl itself with the strawberry ice cream. The hands seem very soft in a certain way and the background is neutral so the colors red and blue stand out. And do you see that red and green are complementary colors and therefore get a pop up color?  Winnaar 3: @yessica_duque_photography I love these shades of white and gray. These vegan coconut popsicles are a white color that will draw your eyes to them. They lie on a layer of different ice cubes. See how many different ice shapes there are? And And if you look closely, you'll also see coconut pieces in between. Then the unveiling of the new challenge for August......#onlyonefish Whoop whoop!! Come on with those beautiful bbq fish, the salmon, sardines, tuna, scampi or maybe finally that lobster or octopus? Those last two are still on my list... You can participate several times throughout August. Place the hashtag #onlyonefish in your text and mention @luciebeck and tag me in your picture so I can see your picture. It doesn't have to be one fish, it can be more than one fish. Try something new, some fish you've never photographed before. Try to think of a different background than usual. Look at the light you use, what else could you do?

  • For some time I had the idea to photograph white in white. And use as few props as possible.  At the campsite I had brought honeycomb from home, which I really wanted to take a picture of. Well, it actually turned yellow in white but it was a fun experiment. I was looking for the place where the light came through the honeycomb, that was quite a search.
